Six hundred people across 14 timezones were collaborating in Jira for engineering, Notion for docs, Linear for design and Slack for everything else. Context was lost at every handoff.
We built a CRDT-backed workspace (Yjs over Supabase Realtime) where boards, docs and timelines share the same source of truth. Every view — kanban, Gantt, calendar, timeline — is a projection of the same task graph, so a status change in one place propagates instantly everywhere. Offline-first by default; the mobile companion syncs cleanly even after long flights.
Three SaaS tools were retired in the first quarter. Average project cycle is down 24% and cross-team blockers (the team's leading indicator of pain) dropped 58%.
A scale-up of 600 needed a single workspace replacing Jira + Notion + Linear, with realtime collab across 14 timezones.
