An automotive-parts plant was losing 9% of OEE to unplanned downtime. Operators were watching 80 PLCs through five different vendor HMIs with no unified history.
We built a multi-monitor Electron cockpit that ingests MQTT telemetry from every PLC into InfluxDB, with Grafana panels embedded for deep analysis. Predictive alerts are trained on 18 months of historian data and fire 20–40 minutes before failure with a recommended action. Andon escalation is a single button press.
OEE improved 11 points within the first quarter. Unplanned downtime dropped 43% and MTTR is down 38%. The cockpit is now rolling out to four sister plants.
